A two-stage waterfall inside the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary, with an easy lower trail and a demanding climb to the upper falls.
The Agumatsa river drops from the Agumatsa range in two stages, the lower fall reached by a level forty-five minute walk from the village of Wli, the upper fall by a steep and often slippery three-hour climb over the ridge.
The cliff face above the lower fall is home to a large colony of fruit bats, and the spray pool at the base is open for swimming. The trail crosses the Agumatsa river nine times on timber bridges.
Guides are compulsory and are assigned at the sanctuary office in Wli. Fees support the community management of the sanctuary.

- The nine river crossings on the forest trail
Getting there
- From Accra drive via Ho and Hohoe, about four and a half hours.
- Taxis run from Hohoe to Wli village throughout the day.

Visitor tips
- Go in the wet season, June to October, for the fullest flow.
- Take a dry bag, the spray at the base reaches a long way.
